The concept for this project originated from some truly beautiful views over Woodford Bay in Sydney Harbour. With such a stunning outlook our client was only too happy with our plans to float the design of their living spaces and kitchen over their site before spilling into a covered alfresco and elevated pool to spectacular harbour views.
A clever and unique infinity edge pool is disguised behind an elevated floating parapet garden surrounding the outdoor space, providing privacy and introducing landscaping to this amazing outdoor space. Bedrooms are located upstairs from a winding internal stair and lift.
An expansive master suite and sitting room enjoy enviable view lines and vistas from the topmost level. Soaring above is a skillion roof with a curved edge beam wrapping around the perimeter of the home. This playful curve is open to allow natural light into the private open courtyard under, broad formal entry and is then articulated in the sweeping corner allotment fence details.
Elegant timber screens provide privacy, frame the harbour leafy garden views and take advantage of passive solar design.
Tucked under and grounded with stacked stone and feature timber batten walls, is the garage, gym and media room. The whole gambit is included in the design from study, guest and mud rooms, music space, butlers pantry and sunken lounge.
