A client contacted us with an approved development application for a residential home on a parcel of land they had recently purchased.
They were not in love with the approval and engaged us to improve on the planning and create an aesthetic better suited to today’s residential designs.
The result was an amazing opportunity to design a creative solution for a steep site with a complex vehicular access obstacle and a unique community design engagement process.
The design has a three-tiered layout to accommodate the client's requirements.
The top-level is an entrance podium where the resident and guests may park their vehicles and be received. There is also has guest retreat adjacent to the main entry.
The mid-level has 4 bedrooms, all with walk-in robes. The master has its own ensuite and balcony view of the surrounding landscape. While the three bedrooms utilise a shared bathroom and have access to a private courtyard.
The lowest level is for entertainment with large open planned living spaces spilling out onto a vast expanse of decks and a pool overlooking the mountain range beyond.
